Ahh yes as i was scanning this news release i did come across the obligatory sentence so no supprise there then. I also note the findings where taken from a local river, so no travel exes for the scientists. That was good of them. The hottest year was 1976 that was omitted. and didn't we just go through the coldest winter for the last 30 years, to balance things up a bit.

One good thing about old Maggie T. She was a scientist, a bloody good chemist. She'd have given all you climate change deniers short shrift.
