I know that different waters can set their own MSL, but does anyone know if there is an absolute minimum size limit for Brown Trout in Scotland?

Thanks in advance.

Unless somebody has changed things recently, then historically it has always been 9 inches. I think that was under the
salmon & freshwater fisheries act.

Then again someone could have had a bright idea and its now something like 225.6789 mm, 9 inches works for me, (as the actress said to the bishop)

To the best of my knowledge there is no limit for taking trout but there is a limit of 20cm for the SALE of dead trout (ie for food)
There is no minimum size for the sale of live trout for restocking etc
